Who we are

Vamos Solar

A new way to go solar.

Vamos Solar is a Spain-based solar energy company making the transition to solar simple for businesses and communities. Our approach is built on long-term partnerships, transparency and customer control. Our clients decide how the electricity their solar systems generate is used. We provide ongoing energy support and monthly reports on electricity production, consumption and emissions.

Who it's for

For businesses, the public sector and communities.

Vamos Share works wherever several consumers are close to a good solar site. Not everyone needs a suitable roof.

Businesses and industrial estates

Neighbouring businesses share one plant on the best roof in the estate.

Example: warehouses, offices and shops on one industrial estate.

Public sector

The roof of a school or a municipal building can supply other public buildings nearby.

Example: a school, a sports centre and municipal offices.

Residential communities

One central plant instead of panels on every roof. Each home decides whether to join and pays only for its share.

Example: a housing estate or a homeowners' association.

How it works

One installation. Multiple sites.

Solar production is shared between the participants' electricity meters using an agreed allocation.

Shared plant

On a rooftop, a carport or shared land.

Participants

Businesses, public buildings or homes within 5 km. Each one decides whether to join.

Each participant keeps its meter and, normally, its electricity supplier. Only the bill changes, to include its solar share.

An allocation that fits your use

We set each participant's share from its real bills, including properties that stand empty part of the year.

The grid, as usual

At night, or when your solar share isn't enough, electricity comes from the grid without you doing anything.

Surplus on your bill

Solar energy you don't use is fed into the grid and credited on your next bill.

Illustrative example: lines show virtual allocation through the grid, not cables. Capacity, layout and distances are indicative.

Full service

We take care of everything.

From the first look to maintenance. We handle the technical, financial and administrative work, so it stays simple for the participants.

  1. 01

    Assessment

We review suitable sites, grid requirements and the participants' electricity bills.

  2. 02

    Proposal

We calculate solar output, energy shares, preliminary savings and the monthly fee for each participant.

  3. 03

    Financing

No upfront investment. Vamos finances the installation and each participant pays a fixed monthly fee.

  4. 04

    Permits & installation

We handle the permits and the allocation agreement, and coordinate the installation with specialised partners, including any upgrades to the electrical connection.

  5. 05

    Operation & maintenance

We ensure reliable operation throughout the contract, with monthly reports on production, consumption and emissions.

  6. 06

    Ownership at contract end

When the contract ends, typically after 20–25 years, the installation is transferred to the participants.

Energy security

Less exposed to the electricity market.

Fixed, predictable price

Your solar share is billed at an agreed monthly fee, not market prices. When grid prices rise, that part stays at the agreed cost.

Battery storage, optional

Through our partners we can add batteries that store daytime solar for the evening and keep essential power on during outages.

More self-sufficiency

Energy produced nearby reduces your dependence on the grid and lowers your carbon footprint, supporting ESG goals.

Common questions

Questions about the shared model.

Can't find your answer? We'll cover it in the free review.

How far away can participants be?

Current collective self-consumption rules allow up to 5 km between the plant and each participant, measured in a straight line. We check this for every property in the assessment.

What does each participant pay?

A monthly service fee for its solar share, with no upfront cost. Each participant's share, fee and preliminary savings estimate are set out before signing.

Does everyone have to join, for example in a homeowners' association, and who signs?

No. Shared use works even if only some take part. One service agreement is signed with the community or the organisation that groups the participants, and each participant then joins it.

How long is the agreement, and what if a property is sold?

The agreement lasts around 20–25 years. Vamos owns and maintains the solar system during this time. After the agreement ends, ownership transfers to the participants. The agreement also covers what happens if a property is sold.

Your next step

How much could you save together?

We start with a free feasibility review, with no commitment. Send us the electricity bills and we'll prepare a preliminary savings estimate.

To get started

  1. A contact person for the group or community
  2. A possible site for the solar plant: a roof, a carport or land
  3. The latest electricity bills from every participant

Terms and ownership are confirmed after a site-specific review.
